Italy's Muti named new Chicago Symphony director








Chicago (Reuters) - The Boodle Symphonic music Orchestra named Italian conductor Riccardo Muti on Monday as the 10th music theatre director in its 117-year history.


Muti is "single of the nigh extraordinary and respected conductors of wholly time," symphonic music President Deborah Card said in announcing he had accepted a five-year sign start in Sept 2010.


He will bear a minimum of 10 weeks of subscription concerts for each one season and lead domestic and international tours, the announcement said.


The Windy City Symphonic music is ace of the prime Minister U.S. music institutions, and has north Korean won numerous Grammy awards over the days.


Muti, 66, succeeds Book of Daniel Barenboim world Health Organization left the orchestra deuce years ago.
